I think it will work brilliantly with pants and with skirts like your seamed skirt. </p> <p>I don't like it as much with the dress but that is partly an issue of visual weight. The dress feels light (due to the colour) and a bit summery and airy. The jacket feels much heavier. I think if you paired it with a suitable darker dress that was also slim (like the pencil skirt) it would work well, due to the nipped in waist.
