I've often done that in an athletic shoe, hiking boot, and snow boot. My size 10.5 foot is often happier with the increased toe room, especially if I am using a supportive insert. My Blundstones are the men's version, but look identical to the women's. </p> <p>Another tip: pick a style which is super easy to get on and off. Bending over to tie, zip, or buckle gets harder and harder as time goes on. They were tough to find. I remember that for boots I had to get a very large pair of Sorels. I don't know how I was able to hold my feet in them because they were so big, but I did. My main concern was having shoes and boots with a good grip as I didn't want to risk a fall. Same concerns as you have. Leave a little extra room for your feet as they may get more swollen as the pregnancy progresses.<br /> I hope you will soon find something good and from a store that supports their customers' needs. I know that as long as shoes/boots are fairly new, even if you wore them outside, Nordstrom's and probably the Rack as well will stand behind the product if there are any issues with it.
