I have bought and sold a few items through the j crew aficionada forum and I know others have through the effortless anthro site. The transactions are independent of the site (usually done through paypal) and the site owner takes no responsibility though with the J Crew one, she does try to limit the resellers who are just trying to make a profit. And the winner of an item is chosen by random, and all money transactions are paypal. With that format, only a few people can post things to share, so I suppose it doesn't get out of hand.
