Hello,

Thank you for responding so quickly. I hope to post a photo by week's end -- I don't have any recent ones but I'm waiting for some to be available soon. We just returned from my brother's wedding in HI and the photographer will be posting photos any day now. So Angie, your wedding story and photos were that much more enjoyable since I'm still somewhat in "wedding" mode... Thank you for sharing.

I will definitely check out BR and AT in person -- the online selection looks good, especially BR -- but for this type of purchase I need to check things out in person so I'll be visiting the mall -- after Christmas.

Christine, welcome to the forum! I'm not expert in interview suits so I don't know what to say about color and cut, but I will say that I have found good blazers and pants at Banana Republic and Ann Taylor, so you might try looking there.

Hello All,
I have been a reader of YLF for about 1 year but just recently joined the forum, and this is my first question. I am nearing my mid-40s, a single parent now, and have been a stay at home mom for 14 years. I'm planning on job searching in earnest after the holidays, and need advice on purchasing an interview suit. I worked in a corporate environment before starting a family and my first suit was from Nordstrom (conservative black blazer, trousers, and a pencil skirt) and while those pieces served me well, they were donated ages ago and I need to start over. My body has changed over the years: I am 5'5" and an inverted triangle (broad shoulders, 36D, non-defined waist, somewhat of a flat bottom, very narrow hips and slim legs). I typically buy sizes 12-14 (top) and 10 (bottom). I'm fortunate to have lots of shopping options where I live so I was going to start with the Rack and go from there. I would like advice regarding suit color and cut, as well as what to wear with it, including accessories. I'm fortunate in that I already have several tailored handbags but I dislike wearing heels all day long so I will also need to purchase a low wedge or kitten heels. I love YLF and have learned so much. I especially appreciate the Mom-on-the-Go outfit ideas and use them often. Thank you in advance for your help!
