Inge, you definitely look great in knee length A-line skirts (we've seen it ourselves!) and I suspect a nice, tailored pencil skirt will be stunning on you as well.

Sorry I just saw your answers. Thanks Angie and Ana, this makes sense indeed.
Well, then this type of skirt is not for me. I think I'm going to try and find a few great A-line and pencil skirts for this winter...

I love that skirt. I posted it on the temptations thread, but I shan't be buying it.

I think you need height and as Ana says, a tucked in top. You need to show the ombre effect so I don’t think belting would work. I can’t see that working on anyone too curvy in the tummy area but a slim pretty pear for sure.

I'm not *sure* but I'm going to guess that because it's a-line and flared, it would be good for any body type. The only "issue" I could see is that it's high waisted, so you would either have to tuck a shirt into it, or wear a shirt belted over the top. Some people might not feel comfortable doing this (no matter their body type), either because they feel like it's not flattering, or they just don't like wearing belts, etc.

http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/29.....9&P=2
After Shiny suggested this skirt to Megan yesterday, it got me thinking. Can this skirt only be worn by woman with slim hips and thighs, a tiny waist and a perfectly flat tummy? Or could an hourglass with a bit more 'curves' get away with it? Which body types can wear a skirt cut like this? (and maybe the horizontal stripes would play a role as well?).

And nope, I'm not going to buy it, even if it would be a good fit, not unless I win the lottery any time soon;-) But I do like it very much.
