I'm seconding the vote for Nordstrom Rack. Not everything is a good value (sometimes it really is just low quality for the low price), but it's fun to walk around in. The designer section is awesome!

Also, I enjoy simply walking around the downtown corridor. It's small but fun, and the windows are wonderful to gawk at (fav windows: Nieman Marcus and Nordstrom). Start at Fluevog, walk east to Westlake Mall, keep going past Nordies to Pacific Place, then turn south by a block to visit the Banana Republic (worth checking mostly because it's a beautifully remodeled abandoned theatre). There's a Loft, an H&M, and a F21 all within eyeshot of that route if you feel inspired to drop into a store.

T-Rex, the SAD Sale is on at Fluevog, so maybe not budget, but definitely more affordable and a great time to pick up a pair of shoes. (And who knows what SAD stands for. They never explain it!) They'll have all the sale stock that they usually hide in the back room out on the floor for you to see. You are going to have a good time!

Not Angie, but I live in Seattle.
There are two Buffalo Exchanges in Seattle.
http://www.buffaloexchange.com.....#038;id=18

Parking is a pain at the U-district one.

There are mutliple Goodwills
http://seattlegoodwill.org/shop

I've gotten good stuff at the U-district. I've heard the South Lake Union one gets designer stuff, but I've never been.

If you like vintage

http://www.redlightvintage.com/

ETA Nordstrom Rack is a few blocks up from the Fluevog store.

Angie, I'll be in Seattle this weekend. It will be my first time to the west coast! Which stores do you recommend for the stylish and budget conscious shopper? My BF and I love combing through thrift stores, and he loves dressing up as much as I do.

The Fluevog store is a must, although it is hardly a low price venue. My plan is to try on all the shoe families, so I'll know what fits me, and what to order when the bi-annual sale rolls around again. Other than that, I don't have a clue where the worthwhile shopping may be.

If you can help me, many thanks!
T-Rex
