I personally prefer less retro, more new (or new-seeming to me at any rate!) stuff. Of course retro stuff can sometimes be styled in ways that make it look&nbsp;current -- I have many an ancient piece found in charity shops, and some of my grandmother's clothes and so on, but style them completely differently from how they were styled in the past&nbsp;-- but it wasn't that many years ago that the 1970s were in again, and I still have the high-waisted flares I bought at the time, but I don't feel in the least bit like wearing them now. I loved it because it had a warm, zip out lining and was long enough to keep me relatively warm (depending on the temp) on my daily walks to and from the office. I look forward to getting it, as I already know it will work.</p> <p>I look forward to acquiring the perfect bootcut pants for me. I, too, prefer to wear them with 1.5" to 2" heels.</p> <p>Does anyone besides me remember back to the late '70s when people would say you were expecting a flood if your pants were too short? We also called them high waters.
