Wow! That dress is a winner, for sure!

I would advise against even kitten heels if you will be on the grass because they'll sink into the turf. I think a wedge or a more substantial heel would be a better bet!
Stunning! Love the dress and how flattering it is on you. I also find it appealing from the perpective that it's not your typical wedding guest dress, it's much more interesting.

The dress looks gorgeous on you, and what's even better, it will pack like a dream. I think a coral topper could be fantastic. Or if you can't find one you like, maybe go with a floral one or other pattern that picks up the dress's colour? I love the idea of wedges in case it isn't raining. As for the wellies, that is tough! How to look great in rain boots? But that suggests the whole thing may just end up being pretty relaxed and a lot of fun.

I actually LOVE the dress with the jacket and the taupe pair of shoes (the ones on the right in the photo). But the light isn't great, so I'll trust your opinion if it doens't feel fab to you.

Ok so yes to the dress. Now I need to choose colour for shoes & topper because I feel that the coolness of the taupe or the nudeness of the entire outfit or something about it doesn't feel right. The silver shoes are stilletos so they won't work. Should I just get a nice trench for the rain & not bother with any other topper? If it is hot I can be with no topper, cool or wet with trench.

Any colour suggestions for shoes, bags, toppers? Coral, a shade of brown, gold (shoes only not trench), blue, grey?

That dress is gorgeous! I love the jacket too. Not sure about the footwear. Perhaps silver Wellies?

STUNNINGLY beautiful!

WOW. You took my breath away, Elle. Without and with the jacket! Either sandal is fab.

I am not sure how to address the "offending relatives" question. In my book, it is not at all a problem to wear black and white to a wedding. I have on many occasions! I also don't think it's a problem to wear the same colour as the bridesmaids. I would just not wear a white dress or suit to a western wedding - that's about it as far as colour restrictions go from the perspective of the guest.

I tend to dress more traditionally at a traditional wedding. For example, I'd love to wear a dressy jumpsuit to a wedding we are attending in July, but I think it's going to a traditional wedding. So I'm going with the usual dressy frock or skirt.

The dress looks lovely, and would be very pretty with silver or gold shoes. I'm no good with toppers, so I'll leave that to others.

The invitation has no dress code but the groom will be wearing an old tweed jacket with no tie & chinos. I think the Mumford & sons style is big in the UK. He is my husband's nephew who I haven't met so it isn't easy to ask the bride. I would have to ask DH to ask his sister to ask her son to ask the bride what she is wearing. I'm also concerned about what colour the bridesmaids & MOB & MOG are wearing so I will try. I should avoid the same colour right? I know to avoid white & black. I know people wear black here in the US these days but I think the UK is more traditional, still wearing hats, though not mandatory. Even if the couple are not traditional I don't want to offend older relatives. I will be meeting my in laws for the first time & as a family member will be in a lot of photos.

MOG said they are going for a music festival vibe. It is still a wedding though so I don't want to be too casual.

It was mentioned to bring wellies & an umbrella as it rains in the Summer. Have you seen pics of Glastonbury & Isle of Wight festivals with all the mud? They want their wedding to be like that. I will buy short wellies to weigh less in luggage. I own a red raincoat which doesn't match this dress but could work if I buy a different dress. I also need regular shoes for registry office & before the rain or if it doesn't rain, so I'm thinking a wedge. Do thick heels sink in grass or only stilettos? What about kitten heeled shoes?

What do you think of this dress? I could buy a convertible bra to avoid straps showing. I don't think the taupe shoes or jacket look good with it. I think as the peach looks nude against my skin I may need a darker or brighter shoe. Do you have any shoe colour ideas? What is a good topper? Should I have a trench and a jacket or just let the trench be my jacket, rain or shine? Purse & topper colour? Sorry for all the questions but I think it is important. I don't want to ruin their wedding family photos.

Here is a pinterest board of some ideas http://pinterest.com/lovlealea.....k-wedding/
