Thanks, Nicole, Angie, for your insightful replies. I went straight to Bloomies on my lunch break today and bought a pair of subtle textured nylons - barely there with just a touch of texture. I can't wait to get home to try out the outfit with Angie's and Nicole's suggestions. Thank you!

I like the idea of a silver metallic shoe. I wonder if you could find a multi colored shoe--like the floral shoes that are so popular right now--that would work with the color.

Beautiful dress! I really like the shoe that you have selected and I LOVE the idea of adding sheer patterned tights as an esoteric edge to the ensemble. Go for it. A Y-chain or necklace with a prominent pendant is ideal for that V-neckline. I'd keep it gold and warm.

Hi Angie,

The dress is no longer on the BR site so the next best thing is to send you a link of another dress that looks 90% like the one that I purchased. Here's the link: http://www.net-a-porter.com/am.....M5FwwWF3Yg

The difference is, obviously, the color, and the one I purchased does not have an embroidered belt like the one in the link.

The patent leather brown shoe I have is this in coffee brown patent: http://www.piperlime.com/brows.....;tid=PLSZ1

Thanks for your sane advice!

Hi Angie,

I bought a gorgeous bright silk turquoise dress from Banana Rep. It's a nice classic style, wrap around, below the knee, soft, billowing full skirt and with full sleeves that go down right above the elbow. I am so torn with what shoe/nylons to wear with it. My safe bets, I think, are mute/low-shine silver. Part of me want to experiment with a pair of brown textured nylons (just a hint of texture) and a deep bronze (more of a coffee brown shade than yellow/orange bronze) patent close toe in a classic design. What do you think? If you think this could work, what accessories might work well with this look?
