I have been debating getting Rothys for months--I have fairly severe bunions, and I've never found a ballet flat that can accomodate my wide forefoot and narrow/normal heel. Most ballet flats are so painful that I cannot walk more than a couple of steps in them. I've never owned a pair in my life.

Lo and behold, I was gifted a pair of Rothys last weekend ("the flat" style; white, grey and black camo pattern) and...they seem great! I want to add my two cents to this thread as there aren't many non-sponsored reviews out there...

The size 8 fit my 7.5/8 feet very well with *no pain* in the toe area. The back of one rubbed a bit, but after 3 days of full time wear (for reasons I won't go into), it no longer rubs. This pattern is no longer available, but it goes with my usual bottoms (black ponte, white jeans, dark jeans). The shoes are adorable and disguise my distressingly unattractive bunions.

The Rothys don't feel that supportive (I think an insole would help), but somehow my feet (and back) just don't hurt, and I've walked all over the place (no hills). So, a tentative thumbs up (way up) from me. I"ll update if I have issues.

Another Rothy’s fan here. I have two pairs (ordered them in early July) and have worn them several times. I put in a lot of steps every day and other than how cute they are, I completely forget that I am wearing them. I have the Dark Camo and the Leopard print in the Point. LOVE THEM!

I love my Rothy’s. I purchased the Point and an extra insole and not looked back. I walk about 15k steps a day in Seattle and have no issues. They were my primary vacation shoe recently and trekked all over airports and cities. They are completely flat so if you have issues (I used to) and need an arch, you will want to try them inside before wearing outside in the event you want to return them.

I’m eyeballing my next pair and wish it could be the loafer but high volume feet do not look good in loafers. Or at least mine do not.

Editing to add, I have wide’ish feet, cankles, feet that perpetually swell in heat, and a size 9 and they look great and make all those above “issues” not as obvious.

I bought a lilac pair for myself in the spring and a red pair for my daughter, in the pointy flats. They are comfortable enough but not super supportive. I think they make my 8.5 feet look even more boat like than usual but I still like them. I was mostly wearing them as my house slippers before it got hot, but daughter wears hers out walking in Manhattan all the time. She may take mine back to school with her next month, because she feels that a size up would have been better.

I tried the red camo ones that Gretchen has, and they were comfortable and very cute. I did have to size up 1/2 size. But ultimately, they felt just too flat for me, so I returned them. Ordering/returning/reordering all worked really well for me with Rothys.

Bumping this thread today, as Rothy's were mentioned throughout Angie's post today, and I'm intrigued. I love the olive camo loafers and am tempted to order, as the pointed-toe vamp looks too low for my foot, sadly.

Adding in, Rothys are a great option for air travel. Easy to slip in/out at TSA (or no risk of accidentally setting off the alarm in you are TSA-Pre. And due to the knit fabrication, they can accommodate the swelling that may occur on long flights.

I love my pointed toe red camo shoes, and get compliments almost every time i wear them. The pink round toe were a miss for me - felt like Ronald McDonald shows. Currently eyeing the grey birdseye for a backup pair

I love my Rothys for city walking! I have the pointed flats which do run narrow/low-volume, FYI (try sizing up if you have wider feet). They weren't quiiiiite comfortable enough for extremely humid all-day walking in Paris, but I loved them in NYC in early summer. In SF, the closest city to me, they're 3-season shoes.

New to forum but I'd like to heartily recommend the Rothys. I have 3 pair of pointed flats and one pair of the loafers. I have a real problem walking long distances in shoes, but the Rothys are wonderful: comfortable, durable (can wear in rain and can machine wash)- I have worn them several times to NYC and have walked miles in them with no blisters etc. And I'm over 50 and still get lots of compliments on them.

Kristen C, if it’s helpful to hear from someone who has several pairs of the round flat on the point that Angie raised, at least for my feet, they’ve been fantastic for walking. I walk at least a few miles in them every weekend (and many miles daily when wearing them on a trip to France) and have never had a blister or foot problem, and the machine-wash feature is great. Since it’s free shipping and returns, could be worth testing out a pair to see if they work for your feet and your wardrobe.

Not dowdy, but seem to lack support and substance. I was going to purchase a pair, but they look flimsy for the amount of walking I do.

I am considering a pair of red Rothys pointed flats for Spring. I like that they are made from recycled materials and are machine washable. A red shoe will be a perfect pop of color in my navy/white/black heavy Spring wardrobe. Of course they look adorable in the advertising. I wonder if they will look dowdy on me because I am over 50? I have ruled out some of the color choices as either too young or too old, such as aqua and taupe.
What is your opinion of Rothys?
