I like to wear a belt to hold my jeans in place. “Beltaway” is a comfy elastic belt with a buckle that sits flat.

Yep sounds like the jeans are too big, can't hurt to compare a size down. Or a different cut-for a curvier or straighter body type.
With booties and skirts, i personally would go for a low cut sock or tonal with the boots, but there are the boot cuffs that are meant to be contrasting (at least in texture). But try different options, you never know!

The jeans might be a size too big. I've learned the hard way that its generally better to buy jeans one size smaller than what feels like it fits in the dressing room. The fabric stretches (unless it's that raw/selvedge denim), and gives me dirty diaper butt halfway through the day. I made that mistake with a pair of Joe's Jeans and wound up donating them because I couldn't even shrink them in the dryer.

Okay, I'm new to the site. But I have a couple of questions. I just bought my first pair of skinny jeans (thanks to my daughter who talked me into it). I liked the fit and feel just fine, but when I got them home and started walking back and forth from the closet to the full length mirror to try different tops with them, they kept creeping down my legs - awful feeling in the crotch. Have I bought the wrong size? Is this a common problem is there a solution for it?

Second question, I bought a pair of ankle boots to wear with them and plan to wear them with some skirts and/or dresses. But...my legs are totally white and I have skinny ankles. Can I wear socks with them? I've seen some pictures with socks that I like, but don't know what kind of "rules" apply to choosing socks.
