Thanks, Nancy, Suz and Angie.

It sounds like it's a bit of "anything goes", which makes things easy ; ). I like the look of a boot cut, too, but don't like the lack of versatility regarding foot wear that comes with it. I'll probably stick to straight leg trousers, myself.

Sarah, I've missed you.

Slouchies are becoming more an more popular - the sikly track pant being the most mainstream silhouette. There are lots of cropped pants, skinnies, straight legs and patterns. And what Suz said. We need to wait a little for the crops to turn into full length pants in Sept and Oct.

Must say that the classic bootcut trouser is looking very appealing to me right now - just because it's different. I tried on my charcoal grey pinstriped Theory suit recently and it felt fresh. Pity that tapered trousers are so much more practical for Seattle weather.

"When the trends don't work for you: revert back to modern classics". That's one way to go about it.

Not Angie...but my best guess is that we will see a mix. Skinnies right now (cropped, especially) as the season hasn't fully changed. Later on we may see more variety.

Welcome back, Sarah! (I've been absent/busy this summer, too....no worries...everyone understands that we have lives!)

I'm with you on this trouser conundrum. I see hints of baggy/slouchy here and there in fashion magazines, but the trend really doesn't seem to have taken hold. It's still all about skinnies from what I can see. Maybe we're just ahead of the curve still.

Will stay tuned to see what Angie says.

I know I've been absent for a long while due to work deadlines and vacation, so I feel sheepish posting, but hopefully others will find this useful.

I'm wondering: what are the trends for pants and trousers for fall? All I see in the stores are skinny silhouettes - are we back to those? Are slouchy, loose styles no longer on trend?

Thanks for clarifying...
