Thanks for the link, Suz.
OK, maybe I need to try it with more fluid tops. I've been trying it with t-shirts so maybe that's why it's not working Most of my pants/jeans are mid-rise, so that should work. Also, maybe it's how I'm styling the whole thing (or not as the case may be). I really love the look, so back to the drawing board.

Erikajl, another trick is that it doesn't work well on higher rise pants. They need to be mid to low rise.

I also don't have much of a waist, I'm an IT/rectangle. This gives the illusion that one is there, without actually showing what it looks like. Magic!

Welcome! Not Angie, but she is travelling so may not get to this yet. Here's a blog post she wrote on the subject.

Most of us can tuck or semi-tuck. I also have a long rise, and shorter legs -- I find tucking is actually a really great look on me because it elongates the leg line automatically! Could it be that your eye just needs time to adjust to the look on yourself?

The main trick I can think of is to try it with fluid fitting tops. Something that drapes a bit. This usually makes it easier to do. You can adjust the sides of the top to be where you like.

Everyone is talking about the faux or partial tucking of tops and I love the way it looks. However, what do you do if tucking of any kind looks awful on your body. I have a long rise, undefined waist, and shorter legs, so tucking looks terrible on me. Is there a trick to tucking that will make it work better, or should I just not do tucking at all?
