I agree Carol that one needs to put some time and effort into the cuffing to make sure it suits you. I don't know, I am just not feeling cuffs on BF jeans currently. When summer arrives it could well be different. Thanks for your thoughtful input!

I think cuffs will always be on trend, but you need to know how to use them. For example, with my short legs and curvy calves, I need to spend an extra minute with the mirror whenever I cuff pants. One inch too high or too low, and they don't look good. I guess what I'm saying is, if you don't put care into this fashion hack, it can look sloppy.

For some time now, I have been waiting for the style of jeans to come back that Angie and Carla are wearing. Not only do they have a big cuff, but also a wide, structured cut that reminds me of something Jessie from Toy Story or Fern from Charlotte's Web would wear. Very 1950s.

I love a cuff especially a deep cuff. I have those same BRs as Angie and feel very fashion forward in them! I have a lighter wash pair from a couple seasons ago too and some reg length denim I cuff deep with higher shaft booties. All in in cuffs. I much prefer a deep cuff to a shallow and don’t narrow cuff or roll any of my denim bottoms

Thank you so much Fabbers! I can see that wide leg cuffs (like Angie and Carla are showing - thank you both for sharing pics! - in which you both look totally fabulous) look modern. I really felt a bit frumpy in my cuffed BF jeans. I uncuffed them when I went to the WC. Not sure that longer uncuffed BF style is better either though. DYOT really is a thing. I think I will pass on cuffing my BFs for now. I probably need a refresh in jeans silhouette entirely. I just am not feeling the wide-leg either. Uggh, at a loss with my favourite item (jeans)!

Agree with everyone about big cuffs being on trend and good job eliciting an extra outfit pic from Angie !

My dear Star :) - Mega Cuffed Jeans are ON TREND!!! What Sharan said :)

I just got a brand new pair because I keep my jeans on trend at least, and fashion forward at best.

Not Angie, but I think cuffs are on trend. I just went jeans shopping and saw quite a few with the deep cuffs like what Carla shows above. I almost got this pair from Banana Republic, but the rise was just a little too high for me. (For some reason the Find wouldn't work for me.)

Cuffing jeans is neither in or out, but rather a styling tweak you can use to help finish off an outfit (like cuffing sleeves on a button down shirt.). That said, the wide or deep cuff that started trending the end of 2022 is purported to still be ‘on trend’ - or more forward than, say, a narrow roll.

I just found my HEWI wide leg jeans! They were styled in the store as a wide rolled jean, but when I unrolled them, they were actually the first pair of jeans that were long enough to be full length on me! I did get them at a liquidation price of $15 (!) so that might be a sign that they are on the way out - but similar are being sold at full price in high street shops.

Ha ha, your question reminded me of the first time I looked in the mirror with cuffed jeans and thought, "You are a farmer". I got used to it, obvs. I will be downtown tomorrow and will keep an eagle eye out.

Hi Angie

Is it passe to cuff your jeans? I was in my closest large city today and only saw 2 people with their jeans cuffed. Now I know you (and I) are a firm believer in DYOT but one does not want to look passe :) (Teehee never used this word passe in my life and now just did 3 times!)
