I'm not "official" help, but my favorite bermudas hit right above the top of my kneecap. I loved the red color you posted before, but if the shorts are "deck red," it's more of a washed pinkish red color...not a true red. I've seen them in person, and the color is much different from the catalog and online.

I like my Bermuda's to rest right above the knee. I would go for slightly above the knee versus midway onto the knee cap. I have a pair of blue shorts and find they can dress up or down very easily. Plus if you sit down, you don't have to worry if there is a stain on your bum like you would with white. So I vote shorter and blue color.

Hello Angie (and anyone else who can help me)! [Feeling bright and sparky this morning, so my greeting is said with extra cheer!]

I have been ooooohing and ahhhing whether or not to buy these Bermuda shorts from Talbots. The girls have given me the nudge to go on and give them a try:
http://www1.talbots.com/online.....e=cat70008

Given I can't try them, I would love to borrow your wisdom to ensure I get have the best chance of having a first successful international shopping experience!

I have quite long thighs for my height of 5'31/2" and short lower legs. My calves are shapely (I like to think), but are erring on the side of stocky (and I have cankles). My thighs are actually not that large considering the size of my calves.

If I was to buy a Petite size, the inseam is 91/2", which ends around 1/2-1" above the top of my kneecap. It is a little shorter than I have worn in the past (but hey, I live in QLD - anything goes 'round here - they would probably still be long in comparison to some of the "looks" I've seen in the past!) :-)

If I was to buy the standard size, the inseam is 11", which ends right on the top or just slightly on my kneecap. This would be more modest, however, I am really worried about is over emphasising my longer thighs and highlighting the fact that I have shorter legs.

As such, what size would you suggest would be best for bringing my body back into proportion?

Also, I am dreadfully confused as to what colour to buy. Any suggestions as to your top pick? My only concern with the white is that my lifestyle makes it difficult to wear on a casual MOTG running around basis.

Thank you so much for your help, I can't wait to order! x
