Because I live in Australia, I buy and wear locally made sheep skin boots and the companies selling them solely within Australia are allowed to call them ugg boots. My Australian made boots are wonderful.</p> <p>The trademark for the word ugg was registered in the US and 130 countries by a US company and now Australian companies calling their boots ugg boots for product sold outside of Australia are being sued for trademark infringement, which has been upheld by US Courts. They are very readily available here in Berlin this time of year, but I think I’ve seen them in the US too.<br /> I’m with you on the pull-ons!</p> <p>PS I just got an email from Vagabond about their warm lined boots. Not sure if it’s shearling—it just says “warm”, but you might want to take a look. There should be a category "Ask Everybody" because that's what I would have chosen! Your boots are beautiful. I feel like Uggs made way chic-er things a few years ago! These days all they have is the classic mukluk style (not totally my bag) and the sneaker style (better, but still not as cool as yours). Part of me wonders if I should hold out and hope that some chic ones come around next winter. I do still have the Blackstones and some insulated Vans to carry me through this winter. I would like a pair of pull-on boots that are completely shearling-lined. Some of the Uggs styles I like (the ones that tend to look more sneaker-y) I can see from photos on Nordstrom &amp; Zappos don't have a lined footbed—only the uppers. Is this true for all Uggs? I thought Uggs lined the whole inside with shearling. Any insight is welcome! Thank you in advance! </p>
