It is essential for me to have warm socks to wear to bed in the winter, but I find it hard to find ones that are just right, that don't itch, and that don't make my feet feel cold and clammy. I recently had to retire several pairs of my tried and true winter bedtime socks that were wearing thin, and the thought of shopping for new one exhausts me. I don't want to waste good money on bad socks, I don't want to have to research different kinds of socks, and I don't want to be in a position of having to return socks I've worn that have not worked out. I'm so excited about wearing Oxfords this fall, as I prefer flats, but live in Minnesota, where I can wear ballet flats for about 2 weeks in Sept. and then it's too cold. Oxfords should be much better. However, I never know what to do about socks. Do you have advice? Should socks match the pants? The shoes?
