Pencil skirts are not ankle length, and the general consensus on YLF is that ankle skirts are super unflattering. Also, if it's a tight ankle skirt, then of course you couldn't walk. Your legs are basically being wrapped together! That sounds uncomfortable. I would not even bother repairing it. Unless there is a religious consideration, go get yourself a knee length skirt. Pencil skirts are more constricting than A line skirts, but they shouldn't cripple you. I finally just decide I could not take it anymore. I grabbed the side of the skirt and ripped a slit on both sides. It is an ankle leingth skirt.
