These are interesting questions, thanks for asking! Sveta can you get Ann Taylor? I saw these signature denim trouser style jeans and they come in wide.

Thanks, Angie, I will return them.
I tried some Gap wideleg but they do not have them in long length in Canada :-(
Oh well, I have 2 month to hunt!

Ah. Good show trying one size up, Sveta. I'd return them then. Try something wider and more trouser-y than the bootcuts. You rock that shape! Have you tried Gap's flared jeans?

Angie, I tried the next size in L&L but they are too big in the hips/tummy area - not just the waist. It was all bunching there and could not be altered like waist could. Do you know if Gap Curvy Boot is not as slim in the thigh - should I try it?
And I am not in a rush as I cannot wear any flared pants for at least 2 month (damn that snow!) I just have these L&L jeans sitting in my closet with tags and I have about 2 more weeks when I can return them...should I?
When you say "start with flare leg" do you mean flare, bootcuts, wide leg or trouser or any of those? As I understand flares are pretty slim in the thigh and this is my tight spot

Sveta, start out with two pairs of flare leg jeans, road test them and see how you feel after that. No need to rush into getting more bottoms now. Plus, you have the new wide leg pants.

I like the L&L's much better this way than with a tucked-in top. I'd have liked to see a size up too though. Did you try that? I might be wrong but to me this style looks better when it's not as snug. These aren't bootcuts - they are wider.

Good questions, Sveta! Obviously, not Angie but here's my take. I love the idea of a white or pale blue jeans for spring and summer. We are thinking a like in that way. I probably wouldn't opt for more than one white and one faded denim. I think the faded is much more trendy and casual than the white. Seems like good fitting white denim bootcuts would be pretty much timeless (or at least until they get stained.) I think a dark wash is more flattering and more versatile--especially if you can wear them to work.

I'm curious to hear Angie's take on the L&L and untucked tops. They look like they fit well and the color looks nice. I'm thinking they're perfect for untucked tops---but I'm still getting used to the new rules myself : )

I am thinking ahead what I need for spring and summer in terms of bottoms. Right now I have skinnies only:
- black Kut skinnies - OK for spring, too thick for summer
- dark wash CJ skinnies - OK for both spring and summer
- 2 pairs of Gap leans in navy and faded black - OK for spring with boots only (too short)
- grey Martin skinny pants - OK for spring, too hot for summer
- my new wide leg pants - OK for spring, maybe for summer too?
I want to expand my collection of pants and jeans to have more choice for spring and summer but I do not want to get too many of them. I think I do not need more skinnies now and would like to get bootcut or wide leg jeans in white or pale blue wash for summer but what else? If I want to add 2 other pairs of jeans/pants max what should I look for to stay current? Should I go for dark wash because it is more flattering and polished or for lighter wash because it is on trend?
I bought these Gap Long and Lean in medium wash (see pics). Angie said I need wider and looser jeans for tucking in but do they work for untucked tops (I am not going to tuck all the time)? Does the wash work on me or should I return them? Does this style work on me? It is all so complicated!!!!
Also can I wear bootcuts with flats or lower heels (1")? Majority of my spring/summer footwear is flat or low heel so I need to account for this too...
Any suggestions and help are much appreciated!
