It's hard to get it to stay put and not cover one eye. The longer fringe makes your eyes less prominent. This is my eternal question. I am currently growing my fringe out for something like you have in 2, but I know what you mean that the heaviness can be a fine line to walk. I think for that reason I am voting 1. I think I would stick with fringe myself, but my hairdresser has a tendency to cut mine a little too heavy and then I hate it. </p>
