I cannot help on the foundation part since I'm in the Angie camp, I just leave my skin imperfections out. For eyebrows, I used to get them done professionally but I found this kit by Anastasia, it is the best:
http://www.sephora.com/beauty-.....ku=1306992
I think you might be able to get away with the brunette kit.

All you need are the basics - but eyeliner is one of the things I'd recommend you experiment with for the rock-a-billy look.

I use Origins foundation as I have very sensitive, picky skin. I barely use any, unless I need to cover a red spot or something. Sometimes I mix with moisturizer with SPF. I don't use concealer anymore. I found that if I am healthy, just a little foundation under my eyes works for me where the ligher concealer would make a little puffiness stand out even more (light colors stand out, darker recedes). I use glycerine soap on my face and all over. My brows are mxed color and not very thick but I keep them trimmed (makes them look thicker) and only minimal tweezing and I sometimes fill in with a brown pencil or use a mascara like brow color (mine is Origins).

I like a pink blush (seems most natural for me) and brown mascara on the top lashes only. Pink sheer lip color and sometimes a little extra SPF.

Just embrace your freckles. I have a ton and covering them with makeup looks the worst. I do add concealer under my eyes and that helps to brighten my whole face. Once in a while I will wear a very light tinted moisturizer, but nothing that looks like makeup. Natural is really the best way to go with freckles. You're better off putting your time and money into keeping your skin healthy and radiant. I love my clarisonic Mia to clean it, Josie maran argan oil cleanser and moisturizer and something with SPF for the daytime.

I am a huge fan of Bare Minerals. It really looks natural and is not drying, as one might expect.
Get thee to a makeup counter (I would suggest a Bare Minerals store) and get a makeover. You can schedule these and just buy one or two things and they usually will give you samples to try at home.

Hi and welcome!

Brows are easy :). You need to have them professionally shaped untill you can shape yourself (I shape my brows myself), and you need to by an eyebrow pencil to fill in the less hairy bits. I use an Anastasia eyebrow pencil in a dark brown - and my hair is blonde and my brows dark brown! You don't need to match your hair exactly, nor your eyebrow hair exactly. Some like to fill in with an eyebrow powder but I find that looks less natural on me. I don't like powdery things so I guess that's also why I prefer a pencil. But you should try both options.

As for the foundation, try a tinted moisturizer instead. Less coverage. I am very fair and do not wear foundation. I prefer my skin to show its imperfections - it's more natural and pretty to my eye, and suits my minimal style. It's got to look like I am NOT wearing anything if you know what I mean. I like my skin to look shiny like an apple - not matte and not covered. So no powder for me, and I do what I can to have healthy and very moisturized skin.

I use a tinted moisturizer by Laura Mercier because they make great light shades. Freckles are really pretty! Show them off.

I hope this makes sense!

Hi there, Jess - I'm not Angie, and I'm afraid I'm not much good with makeup advice. But if you start a new thread specifying that's what your asking for in the subject header, I think you might get more responses. Good luck!

Hello all! I have been stuck in this awkward routine. I've always wanted to be able to have the natural, clean look and the rockabilly/tattoo girl kinda look (not at the same time, obviously). Since the rockabilly look is so bold, I've worked toward the clean look. Here's the problem... First off, I have never successfully found a foundation that works for me. I can't use face washes because they break me out, whereas not using any keeps my skin clear. I have plenty of freckles as well and I'm not sure I could do the rockabilly look without packing my face down. Back to the foundation-I am extremely fair complected. I have a hard time finding my color. When I buy concealers I get the transparent shades. Powder foundation makes my face look like just that, powder. However, cremes seem to be too orange. I'm so lost! Secondly, I have horrible eyebrows. For the look I want I need thick perfect eyebrows! Mine are curly and have bald spots! (I know I'm making myself sou.d hideous!) My hair is an odd red-brown color, so it is difficult to fill in my brows with a brown pencil. I tend to use a swirl of light brown and dark lilac eye shadow for them. Currently, I am not stocked with makeup as i should be, but I'm afraid to buy stuff that's not gojng to work. Help! I know this is more of a fashion forum, but I feel like someone here will be able to help me. Thanks for reading!
