I agree - 15-20 pounds is at least one size, maybe two, and your shape may change as well. Buy shoes or accessories if you feel so moved, or buy some inexpensive pieces that fit now to hold you through, and save the rest of your cash to buy some awesome stuff when you're at your goal weight.

Welcome to the forum!

Louise makes an excellent point.

Also, we ALWAYS shop for the body that we currently have. If you do decide to shop the NAS, choose items that you can wear right away.

Thanks Modgrl and Cilleena - that's kind of what I thought but needed to hear it from someone else.

It's hard to buy ahead when you don't know what your body size will be next season. I'd recommend skipping NAS and buying a few pieces in your current size that you really need.

Not too much though, because you probably won't be able to wear them next year. I bought lots of cute things last winter and haven't worn them much yet. Now, I've lost another 15 lbs. and they don't look very good on me. What a waste! I'll probably end up donating too many things or wearing things that are too big for me.

NAS is just another sale; there will be many more winter sales with lots of great deals to be had. Buy clothes that fit you now that are seasonally appropriate. Perhaps others who have lost significant weight can chime in here (I haven't) but it seems risky to buy clothes when you don't know what your exact size/shape is going to be in 6 months.

I'm still a newbie on YLF (although I've been lurking, reading and learning for a couple of months) and see a few items in the NAS fall preview sale that make me swoon. I would like to order but my problem is that I'm about 15-20 pounds away from my goal weight (currently in process of losing). If I wait until I'm where I want to be, the sale will be over and I will miss the great prices and possibly the size selection. If I order the size I am now, there's a chance the items won't fit in a couple of months. What do I do?
