And if you're busty, you may need to skip the belt suggestion. Belts over cardis on busty and slightly heavy women can make our boobs look much lower than they really are.

Excellent suggestions. Love you girls with your thinking caps on. A short fitted cardi buttoned up most of the way is almost flop proof, but make sure that your bust has room to breathe if you are busty.

Try a cardi over a cami with a skinny belt. You can leave the top and bottom buttons open to emphasize your X effect.

You definitely need something fitted and shorter, as Angie says today on her blog. It could be a knit top, a tucked in button-down shirt, a cropped cardi over a cami. The fitted twinset would work, but I would mismatch it ( not wear both pieces together). But it would depend on your body shape and the exact cut of the skirt.

I am the classic hourglass shape, and am guilty of buying skirts without tops. My last skirt has a fuller bottom (almost reminds me of a poodle skirt shape) and I have no idea what to match to it. A twin set? A fitted shirt? Although I am a little heavy, I am blessd to be in proportion, which tends to hide the extra pounds.
