I ended up buying the Citizens racer skinny in "renegade" wash (faded an lightly distressed) and the Rag &amp; Bone "The Dre" slim boyfriends in the "Bradford" wash (medium blue with some whiskering and fading). I really like each pair, but&nbsp;for different reasons, so I think I need to keep them both. (One pair&nbsp;will be a birthday present). Actually I bought a pair of distressed jeans yesterday that came with patches (attached from the inside, like you suggest). But they are small patches in the thighs. I'm not sure how I feel about patching really big&nbsp;holes, especially at a stress point like the knee. I returned a pair of distressed white boyfriend jeans for that reason. I would have patched the holes, but I anticipated that I wouldn't get around to it for a while. And the jeans were really not what I was after, anyway. <br />All of that said, though, if I were in the market for distressed white jeans, I'd have no problem patching the holes enough to avoid poking through them with my toes as I tried to put them on. (If you patch from the back of the fabric, it's less noticeable, and you still have the distressed look.)
