I think it depends on how different the denim is in color. If it is say a dark wash jean and a light wash denim jacket I vote yes. But if the denims are really close in color, that may be a touch harder to pull off.

I routinely get frustrated when I want to wear my denim jacket with jeans and wonder if I shouldn't! Sometimes I do it anyway! I bought a white denim jacket to help solve the problem, but it shrank in the wash! Can you link to a site with your picture?

Alethia: Welcome!

"Matching" can be very fashion forward -- you might try searching the archives for "denim on denim." That said, it can be very tricky, and you can end up in a "Cowboy Tuxedo" if you're not deliberate about it. A chambray shirt or light blue denim jacket and dark blue jeans is probably easier than denims without any contrast in color, but even then their is no hard and fast rule.

Have you tried it for yourself yet? Sometimes you never know until you start pulling things out of the closet and checking them out in the mirror or by taking pics.

Do jean jacket and denim shorts ( not white) go together?
