I think the opaque tights would look too heavy. Have you thought about a pair of perforated boots in a light color? It might just soften up things enough.

Thanks ladies! I could definitely do both, but I felt like boots in summer(in the SouthEast) might look odd--no?
I thought about layering the fishnets with maybe nude ones underneath so it doesn't seem so heavy-looking. If I have to chose comfort over fashion, I will But I would prefer to have both,s I am trying to avoid looking "wintery" while everyone is dressed like it really is 80 degrees outside...

Are opaque tights a definite no-no?

Could you layer another pair of hose under the fishnets for extra warmth? x

HI Angie and YLF family,

I am in a bit of a fashion bind and need your suggestions. I have a medical condition that makes it problematic if I am ever too cold. You would think that winter would be the most troublesome, but infact it is warm weather. The problem is indoor dressing when AC is blasting full on. I love dresses and skirts, but CANNOT be without hose otherwise I get into trouble healthwise. I would really like not to have to wear pants all summer long if I can help it.I have tried fishnets and they don't offer enough coverage.
So what would you suggest as leg coverage that is as season appropriate? I tried my opaque hose and they are great temperature wise but look terribly out of place in warm weather.
I am fine giving sheer hose a try as long as you don't think it frumpy. Would colored or textured hose work in place of opaque hose? Can't wear tights under dresses at my job, too casual.Hose in general does not say "summer' but I don't have any other option aside from simply waering pants all summer.

Thanks ladies, as always for your generous help...
