I got my husband a vintage watch last year for our anniversary. I loved the look of the watches myself. Mens watches weren't as big as they are now so they look more like the watches that would be oversized women's watches now. They also look unique, very much a statemet piece. And I love that they have a story. DH's was previously a retirement gift for a guy who retired in the 40s. We know because of the engraving on the back. So cool. There are all kinds of price ranges out there. I know I may have to pay $1,000 or more for this? I have been looking on and off for a couple years for a signature piece that is classic and timeless. (no pun intended) I want one that makes a statement, goes with everything and almost looks like a mans watch. I bought one at Eddie Bauer many years ago and it is still classic but not big enough for me. I have small wrists and for some reason I like the look of a large watch on me. Thanks for your help!
