Thanks Angie,

See ,I learned something new from you...yet again. Did not know that there was such a thing as a *Bright Neutral*...but knew it somehow worked. I can apply this better now.

Well said Imogen and Taylor. I personally use white and tomato red as both a bright and a neutral. Sounds like we are samies, Taylor.

You are so right. I always seem to use bright white to make an outfit POP. Just like I use Red or another bright..thus the confusion. I have always heard white is a neutral...I guess it can be both...a bright neutral!

Bright white is both a bright and a neutral in technical terms. Bright white is also a cool colour and a light colour.

There are a myriad aspects to each colour and they have more than one property.

A small amount of bright white is a great way of adding contrast to an outfit to make it pop.

Angie,
Since I have found this forum I am much more aware of how I use color in my wardrobe.

However I am confused about white. A few examples of how I use white in my outfits.

Moss green silk shift dress,White bag, white strappy heels, white sunglasses.

White denim skinnies, black off the shoulder sweater, black bag, black strappy heels, white watch, white sunnies.

White silk jacket, royal silk cami, dark denim skinnies, black heels , black bag, white watch.

These example are to show that I treat white like a "bright" in my wardrobe. Using only one or two white pieces (three if a small item like a watch or sunnies)

I also mean "Bright White" not cream ,beige, eggshell...but bright white. I am sure there is a correct name for this , you will have to clue me in.

So My question is ....Is white a Bright or a Neutral or both ..or neither.
