I like tucking a crisp shirt, but don't own many of those...softer shirts work better on my short waisted self.

I have found tucking before you zip up keeps tops tucked in...

El Cee, I think I'm anti tuck for the rest of my life. My high waist makes tucking look dreadful.

Relieved to hear that my untucked self is OK style-wise… at least for now. I am high-waisted and long legged, so tucking never looks right on me… proportions are way off.

It's good to have choices as someone said. I'm short waisted so I never fully tuck but like the option of a semi tuck.

As others say, it depends on the outfit. I found it interesting that the looks in the slideshow aren't a direct tuck/no tuck comparison. Most are carefully crafted to create their own structure, with a cropped, nipped or waistbanded topper.

With my short legs and long rise, a full tuck is the most conventionally flattering option. The trouble is I have to keep re-tucking as I move around throughout the day. I tucked a silk shirt yesterday, and what a nuisance it was, especially as I live in fear of inappropriate workplace flesh exposure.

I resisted the semi tuck for ages. It started out as seeming a bit precious to me--and I still feel I look like I'm trying too hard whenever I do it. But I have succumbed because it's the most genius practical and flattering solution for someone with my body type.

I like options. I have always preferred the full tuck on me in most cases. I also like a full tuck with high waisted jeans and I am really embracing that look right now. Sometimes I don't tuck my top in and let it hang out to create interest when I am wearing a topper. I never do a semi tuck. I have never been able to do that without it looking like I am half dressed.

I'm so glad that we have the freedom to choose these days. Tucking has never looked good on me, and, if I try it, I end up feeling bundled up and uncomfortable. Thank goodness for choice.

Ah, it is good to know we have a freedom of choice here. I often do semi-tuck out of necessity because most of tops are too short on me to a full tuck or to be worm untucked. I do like to structure and look of full tuck but I really struggle with it on my body so often I start my day with a full tucked top and then change to a semi-tuck later.

I like variety too. Actually for me a lot depends on the pants. If I'm wearing a completely untucked shirt I usually either want it to be long, with skinny bottoms (usually cropped length or rolled), or I want it to end just below the belt line in a more boxy or fitted shape to balance out pants or skirts with more flare or volume. Or it needs to be under a jacket which provides structure. Untucked and blousey/oversized with volume on the bottom too is tricky for me without lots of careful structure built around it. (Deborah from Oz is great at volume on top of volume). So several of the pins to me look fashion forward, but really difficult to pull off in real life without just looking kind of floppy and undefined.

I think it depends on your body shape...I struggle to tuck unless I have a very fine top...I do it but rarely. I almost always buy tops that are meant to be untucked.

I spent a decade thinking I'd never tuck again, but black pants and knit tops worn out got a bit dull. I love faux tucks and semi tucks, and have recently been doing what I call a "tuck and blouse." The blousing softens the tuck a bit and hides elastic waistbands.

I like variety!

I'm with Aida - I'm growing tired of the slouchy relaxed look after 4 or 5 years, and hankering for a more tailored and polished look these days, so I'm fully tucking my large number of oversize and slouchy tops. Glad it's all good!

These days I think I'm full tucking more often than not, even in casual outfits -- it's the easiest way for me to get structure and fittedness out of my large number of oversized/too-large pieces as I can't replace much this year and am really hankering for a more tailored overall fit. I also find myself semi-tucking a LOT less, opting to full tuck in almost all cases. Very glad all options are good

Learning that I don't have to do a full tuck probably has been the biggest game-changer for me since joining YLF. I will half-tuck, demi-tuck, sloppy-tuck or not tuck at all - but I have NEVER loved the full tuck on me both for style and fuss factor. I also don't wear many styles that are meant to be tucked in anymore.

It's been years since I've tucked, and it's because once I realized how much better I look without tucking, I quit tucking. I'm short waisted, and I look so much better when I don't tuck. That said, I agree with Angie. It's all good.
