Janet - I have certainly never noticed this in your photos, FWIW. Mostly I notice your utter fabulousness and lovely figure

I understand. I'm very asymmetrical due to scoliosis. My body shape quite literally is hourglass on one side of my body and pear on the other because my hip juts out further on that side. I sometimes have to have garments tailored on one side and not the other. I've become very aware of it since I started taking outfit photos. I'm not happy about it, but my body is otherwise pretty healthy and strong, so I just have to make peace with it.

If you're concerned, see your doctor, but I bet you're just fine. Most of us are not perfectly symmetrical, but the vast majority of people never notice.

Get it checked at the doctor, but if you don't feel any pain, your back is fine, you walk fine... it's probably nothing. No body is 100% symmetrical anyways.

I also discovered that one of the sides of my waist curved in more than the other when I was 24, Or more precisely it was then that I mentioned it to my new husband and he told me that my spine curved (since I don't look at my badk much I had never noticed it.)
I went to the doctor and had an X ray and was diagnosed with mild scolosis, evidently not picked up when I had the standard examination when I was 12, possibly because I was a later developer. Not much I can do about it apart from keeping my back strong.

Anyway, I would suggest a visit to your doctor, just for your peace of mind. As Joy and Diane have said, there are lots of people around with asymetrical bodies
There are probably lots more unbalanced figures than you realize. A tailor altering pants for me asked me if I knew that one of my legs is longer than the other...just a couple years ago. I'd not realized it before but it explains a lot.

Hi Lydia, and welcome to the forum!

I feel unqualified to answer this question about your body. Of course, if this is something you are worried about, a visit to the doctor may give you peace of mind.
I expect Angie will pop a reply soon, but in the meantime, do you carry your child more on the right hip? You may be pushing it out slightly to rest he/she on.
A lot of people have some difference between both sides of their body and it's nothing to worry about. If you are really concerned though you could have your back alignment checked by a physio. My own mother has one hip shaped out and higher than the other and it is totally normal, so I shouldn't get too worried.

Hi this is prob going to sound really silly but latley iv noticed my right side of my hip has a nice curve but my left side barely curves and more goes straight down , I'm 24 and have had a child , is this normal?? I feel so odd and see so many symetrical girls I just feel soo insecure, should I go to the doctors?
