When I worked, I had a total of 7 trench coats in various colors and lengths. I loved wearing them and shopping for them, obviously. I wore them belted, as they served as outerwear for work.&nbsp;</p> <p>Now retired, I'm down to 3. And I wear them open, and tied in back more like a jacket than a coat. On dressier occasions, I substitute a leather belt, when I know the weather will demand I button up. Or I'll trade belts between coats. </p> <p>Now i'm Thinking about changing them out for one Burberry. I love the teal color. Incidentally, this is one of the things I love about this place - my own budget would never have extended to Theory when this Fab friend donated the coat to me. It was an incredibly kind gift.) </p> <p>&nbsp;I love this coat all out of reason. It is quite a "girly" trench style but it works really well over jeans, I find, and is a good length for my height. The fabric is smooth -- it packs really well and layers extremely well over a jacket. It looks like I will not be spending most of my spring on the ranch in Texas this year, so that will give me more opportunities to wear my "real" clothes!&nbsp;</p> <p>I know that my life is much more casual than yours, so my favorite trench styling is simple -- trench with simple jeans and tee, with perhaps a denim jacket layered underneath for an extra layer that allows for temperature/weather changes (when it's chilly in the morning and gets warm and sunny in the afternoon I can take off the trench and still have a topper). I have collected several trench coats during the years - mostly rather classic versions. I have a full length Burberry, a 3/4 Escada, a long RL and some cropped Aquascutum as well. As they are classics to me, I have kept all of them. Some years I wear them, some years they are waiting for their comeback. All have been great finds on sales or in outlets and I just had to bring them home :-)<br /> Now, my question is - what is the trendy, current way to wear them at the moment? Is there any cool or fun way?<br /> I know there have recently been some Forum discussions about trench coats already, but those of you who like wearing them, what is your favourite styling? </p>
