I'd love to see a show that incorporated showing women of all ages how to style the same particular piece of clothing. I think too many women are abusing or staying away from trends because they have no clue as to how make it age-appropriate. Take a clothing item and style it for women in their 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s.

I'd love to see YLF: The Book. Somehow YLF the reality show just makes me sad though. I guess I am a wet blanket.

I stopped watching WNTW years ago. What a bore it has become. Every episode is the same: They ambush an unsuspecting, outrageously badly dressed person, do some psychological analysis regarding why the victim dresses so badly, show them three mannequins that always include at least four of the following: trouser jeans, pointy toe shoes, an empire waist top or dress, a fit and flare top or dress, a jacket, scary looking heels, and a wrap-something or other. VIctim goes shopping, tries on lots of stuff that doesn't fit, isn't flattering, or doesn't follow the rules. Sometimes they have a meltdown in the fitting room (depending if they're the whiney type or the cheery type). S&C intervene and talk about things that float away from the tummy, fall straight down from the hips, nip in at the waist, etc. Nick/Ted and Carmindy show up a few minutes in an utterly forgettable sequence, the small reveal comes and S&C recap all the floating away/falling straight down/nipping in talking points from before, and then the big reveal comes and everyone lives happily ever after.

*Deep breath*

I like the idea of a short, 30min show that hits on a couple items of the moment along with what body types, neck lengths, etc it would work for. A highlight of a specific item and how to use it. Sort of like the reviews and suggestions we get for the YLF store items, just in real time. Similar to how "mad money" does the stock picking/reviews without the clutter and nonsense noises.

My issue with WNTW is that it not terribly useful to regular women. They take some REALLY dramatic case...someone who is over-the-top with some obscure style and make her presentable. IMHO, the bigger problem in the style world is MOST women only look so-so and just need a few helpful hints to get her from blah to fab. So its not really a huge visual and wouldn't make for dramatic television! I watch WNTW a lot and most of it I don't really relate to...I don't wear wings or tails and I don't have dreadlocks. I'm just a regular gal looking for some hints on how to get dressed in the morning, express my style and still look appropriate for my life.

But every now and then, WNTW will do some out-of-their-norm bit where they quickly show a mix-and-match capsule and I realize that THAT is the sort of stuff I am looking for! I want info that I can USE! How can I wear this or that in different ways? How can I dress my really short neck? How can I get my fashion style to match my personality style? WNTW is not this show! WNTW is a drama show that shows an impossible situation and with much drama creates a transformation.

I think what Angie does on her blog is much meatier and useful to the everyday gal...and honestly is nothing like WNTW!

How about a show that highlights Angie having a different YLF gathering at a time? Then it would mix in the traveling with shopping where you show the audience dressing for different body shapes with the forum gals and a restaurant highlight from the area.

So I see Angie flying into a city where you give a short travel blurb about the area and fun things to do. Then we see you dressed up in your outfit for the meet-up and you could briefly highlight the pieces and why it's a good choice for the particular season or quality of the item. (Oh, I'm already thinking about all the great sponsored fashions you will be wearing!) Then we see you arriving in a taxi at the restaurant, again giving a little blurb about it. Then a quick intro of the forum gals there and a quick Q and A of Angie during the meal where the audience gets to know a bit more about you and your experience in the fashion industry. Then off to shopping with the forum gals where you show off your styling skills and briefly explain why the outfit works for their shape. Then an overview of before and afters and then a teaser of the next city and gathering and then sign off!

Travel, food and shopping...what's not to like? There, done, I got your show all figured out! : )

One of the things I like about WNTW is that they do show women of various body types. What I don't like about it is the shaming portion, where they throw away everything the woman has and make fun of her.

I'd love to see something more along the lines of learning to shop in your own closet, using that as a starting point for getting some key pieces. I also like the idea of leaving no retail stone unturned.

I think the first question here is would you like a TV show?

An idea I'd had for a while. I wish someone would a show addressing the topic of different body types and ages. While highlighting where to shop and had the same item can work for different woman at different ages with a little style magic.
I hope I'm making sense.

Ooh a YLF show! As much as I like the constructive and supportive nature of the forum, I have a hard time picturing it translated to TV. It takes a personality like Oprah to pull it off. Typically TV shows require drama, and I suppose one way to create it is competition, so for example, Angie could issue challenges (based on theme, color combination, limited selection of items) and have contestants implement it. Pick contestants from the audience, or maybe have contestants style models from the audience. The viewers vote real time.
In the process, we also learn about style, trends, products and everything we talk about here. (Disclaimer: I don't really watch TV in case you wonder what I am smoking)

How about an "Ask Angie" show? You could have a question or topic of the day from the blog and perhaps a varying panel of forum members offering input and solutions, much like the blog forum. For instance, new member Megan recently asked how to dress her petite frame. You could have a panel of petites from the forum, such as Shiny, for instance, help answer the question You can then offer your own input and then end the show with the totally fab solution. Your guests would depend on the question at hand. A televised version of YLF, basically.

Yes, I would watch. I think that your blog would translate to TV. Basically teaching people with no understanding of fashion how to change their wardrobe. Explain body types, how to shop, MOTG formulas, etc. Many of your blog entries generate 50-60+ replies. If there is that much to discuss, I would think it could translate to a half hour show (or more). I know it is easier said than done -- but definitely possible. Other shows (like WTNW) are fun but I always feel like I learn more on your blog. Those shows focus on the one individual that they are working with that week -- if there body type, etc. is not like mine -- not much help. You are great at helping everyone learn, know matter there age, shape or size.

How about a show informing us about all the different designers/companies both low and high end that are making clothing/accessories worth seeking out. There are so many mentioned in magazines that I don't know a thing about.

You could highlight two or three a show to tell us about, have interviews, do outfits of their items that you like and up and coming trends of their items.

Oh! You could make it a travel fashion show! You travel to different areas of the world, show us a glimpse of the fab shopping places and showcase the different designers and their items that you like there! It would be similar to your blog posts when you travel. Of course you also highlight what you're wearing that day. Maybe even surprise an innocent bystander and dress her from the store you are at.

What do you think?
