I ordered (Amazon) a small sample of each -- Angie's Suave blow dry spray and Krish's mousse -- and am looking forward to trying them.

I use mousse as well. I usually air dry my hair. It is fine but not thin. I use any old mousse but maybe I will try the Kevin Murphy mousse too.

Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the info! I'm looking for a good lightweight volumizing mousse (fine, thin hair here) that works specifically with blow drying, this sounds like just the thing to try

I blow dry my hair... I live in a cold climate and unfortunately don't have time to wait for my hair to dry on its own (esp. after gym). I apply the mousse at the roots of my wet clean hair, then comb it through, then blow dry combing it forward, head tilted down, chin to chest. That way I am drying it opposite growth direction, which lifts it further when I brush it back into position. However I noticed the mousse not only lifts, but also thickens the whole hair. I wonder now how it would behave if I let it hair dry.

Krish, do you use that mousse with a blow dryer or do you air dry?

Thanks Krishnidoux! I'll try this product as well. The good thing about shopping at places like Ulta and Sephora are that you can buy a product, try it, and return it you don't like it.

Before dismissing mousse entirely, have you tried Kevin Murphy Body builder mousse? I have very fine hair too, and it gives it volume without any stickiness at all, it's a different feel altogether. It makes your hair feel stronger.

Thanks, Marianna.

Destri, fun that my own hairstyle transitions have inspired yours. The fringe took a long time to grow out. My word. Patience is indeed a virtue.

I no longer use the Shaper 22. It flattens my waves. I use the Caviar blowout cream to keep my hair in good condition. Apply it wet, and wash my hair daily.

YES. I use a product to encourage my beachy waves. Mousse was a disaster on my fine hair. Big sticky mess. I use Suave's weightless blow dry spray. See find below.

I blow dry the back of my hair only because I can't see clients with wet hair! I leave the front fringe to dry naturally which creates the waves. Then I spray in the Suave spray very liberally to dry hair, scrunch to activate the curl, and leave it to set. The result is in the pics below.

Hi Angie, I've been following (copying!) your most recent hair styles. I remember you posted a while ago about the Caviar blow out creme and the Redken Shaper 22 that you used when you wore your short, swept up, spikey do and I began using those products and really liked them.

Now, I've grown my hair into, similar to yours, the asymmetrical pixie (that *was* a much longer than expected grow out transition, wasn't it?!!). I've been blow drying with a diffuser to encourage more curl especially on the long side. (I don't think I have as much wave as you do, but I do have some.). My question is . . . is there a product you are using to encourage the curl and give shape before your hair is dry? (I've been using the Awapuhi mousse and I like it OK but it's kind of hard to find). I'm still using the Redken Shaper 22 once my hair is dry.

Thanks in advance and also for everything you do to help us all in every area of style! : )
