Your new hair color is beautiful! I find items that mix several shades of tans/neutrals, like snake print (or some leopard), very useful for bookending when not sure of the right solid color.

Ooh, I wonder if a pair of boots that mix lighter and darker browns would be useful for you. Leopard, snakeskin? Or just something with some shading, like the chelseas below.

Your hair and you look so pretty! Take it slow with the colors because it will take a bit of time for your eye to adjust to your new look.

Like the others said the cognac, brown and camel colours go well with the lighter brown in your hair. I suspect khaki/olive and burgandy would look great too and even some yellows look great with autumn.

Your new hair colour really brings out the colour of your eyes. You look like you have very similar colouring to my daughter now,she is a soft autumn so all autumnal shades suit, browns ,mossy greens, warm burgundies. The only colour that really doesn’t suit her well is black.

Rachy, yes ... I often complicate issues but sometimes a colour is not for someone simply because they don't like it!

Sarah, Jaileen, Joy, great suggestions and thank you so much for the help!

I like your new hair with the warmer colours, yes. Of course, my hair is parrot coloured, but I’ve found dyeing it allows me to wear warmer and muddier colours. My hair goes yellow when the colour is lifted. But it’s an interesting question as to if I’ve stopped wearing any colours: I don’t think so. Maybe light grey, but I suspect it’s that I don’t love light grey.

Holy grail items do NOT look off! In fact, they are enriched.

Yes to bookending footwear with tan, toffee and cognac to ground the palette with new hair. Sorted!

Your coloring looks autumn-ish or spring-ish. I would add a few earth tones like rust, caramel, and olive. My hair was similar in color to yours and those colors worked really well.

I think a warmer brown pair of footwear (cognac/caramel/etc) that bookends your lovely new hair could be just the ticket to keeping your holy grail beige in rotation. That will create a tonal look where I think the combination of warm and cooler browns/beiges will seem rich, layered, and harmonious. Perfect for fall!

Helena you look gorgeous in all of these. The beige scarf is likely to look really pretty with blues and pinks, perhaps it is not so much that you can no longer wear some colours, but rather need to combine them with other colours to suit your new hair colour.

Cognac and caramel will match your hair. A fun way to move towards different colours is to buy a striped sweater or plaid shirt, that combines warm and cooler tones. I bought these items for winter and I could see similar items working well for you. I tend to have a cool complexion and warm toned hair, so it means that I can play with both warm and cool tones.

Hi Angie and al!

I have to give a little attention to some fall essentials, and given my change in hair direction thought I might kill two birds with one stone, but building a small complement that would tie into my new colour.

I am going to do an outfit lab at some point but I have found the last few days that a purely-cool look is not harmonizing, and have enjoyed adding touches of warmth (e.g. gold necklace) to my cool items. (I am slightly sad since my holy grail cool beige items - bag and scarf - feel a touch off ) I don't want to over-adjust though because I've never really changed my hair colour before, so I want to settle in with it before buying too much and as well I think the colour might be adjusted over the next few months as I get it touched up. Thinking maybe a scarf, belt, and I'm in need of a new pair of not-too-casual shoes, might be enough to help me feel harmonious again.

Wondering thoughts on colours for this - camel/cognac/tan? Too warm? Would appreciate your thoughts and open to being told I'm overthinking completely too xoxo

ETA - a few photos in different light to get a better sense of the color :)
