The wedding details list the event as "dressy casual" so hopefully this fits the bill! &nbsp;</p> <p>I've picked up a cropped powder blue cardigan (pastel!) and a floral print clutch (pattern mixing!) and will probably stick with my platform sandals to navigate the grass and hilly island (bookending my hair!), and I think I'll throw on a strand of pearls too (Angie-inspired!). It's not going to be too formal (the groom is wearing seersucker) and the bride and I have a tradition of outdoor picnics, so I thought gingham would be a fun choice. Plus, pockets :)</p> <p>I'd need to take it to a tailor and have the top strap shortened (DH put a bobby pin on it for me to simulate the effect) and have cups sewn in so I wouldn't have to fuss with a strapless contraption. &nbsp;It also needs a vigorous steaming :)&nbsp;</p> <p>I'll probably wear these cognac platform sandals (for walking on the grass), but would still need a suggestion for a topper - it will likely be quite cool in the evening. <br />&nbsp;<br />Would love your thoughts! Worth a bit of tailoring or keep searching? </p>
