Your glasses look great on you. I guess it is just as difficult to find a pair at the other end of the size spectrum. Thanks for chiming in. The problem I have is that even with a 50 mm lens, my eyes seem to be more like 1/3 of the way rather then mid-way. I will find something...eventually.

Dianthus, I have the exact opposite issue with my great, big, wide temples. Some stores aren't really worth my visiting because the brands they carry are too narrow.

I think Angie said in her previous post on glasses fitting tips that your eyes don't necessarily have to be *dead* center in the lenses. If you look at my glasses head on, and actually measured where my eyes are at, they are *slightly* closer to the bridge than to the outer edge of the frames. But they key is that my eyes look close to being centered within the frames. And I also think that because of the "lift" of the frames - they are slightly angled towards the upper, outer "corner" - the fact that my pupils are *slightly* inside from the dead center of my frames isn't really noticeable.

Thanks ladies. I checked the pair of glasses that work the best of the bunch I have and they are 47 mm lens and 16 mm bridge with a total width of about 130mm. Very small. I find even with a lens this small, my eyes are a bit more to the inside of center but I can't go much smaller.

I am waiting for Kat to publish the updated post on her blog, Corporette. Hopefully soon :)

Have you read the YLF post on eyewear? Most of the key guidelines are there.

I need narrow specs too (small head, small face, and eyes are close together), and you just have to keep on looking.

To prevent harshness, opt for a colour or texture. Choose colour on the inside of your frame.

I am not Angie, but it looks to me you have red undertones in your hair?I do and I find red frames flattering on me. My old ones were metallic very thin half-frames (under-wired) in red.

Angie, you mentioned recently that you were working on a blog about selecting eyeglasses. I got a new prescription a few weeks ago for "office glasses" which are a prescription similar to a progressive but with mid range and close only. They aren't worn for distance.

I checked my old reading glasses for size and the pair that fits the best is 16 mm bridge and 46 mm lens. I think that is awfully close to child's size so I have trouble finding many options.

I also have trouble selecting a color. The really dark frames look too harsh on my narrow face and the really light ones are too dramatic and seem to clash with my dark hair. I ended up ordering a pair of half rim online to tide me over until I decide what to get.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
