Thanks to all!
Yes, I'm in the U.S. (Florida) and in an area with exceptional shopping, but no "tall" shops.
Kyle, I was pleasantly surprised by the expanded tall collections on-line. The last time I had looked the only items out there were pants. I'll probably order a blouse and maybe a dress from Banana Republic to check-out the proportion.

I'm also 5' 10." Here are my suggestions for finding the right fit. If you find something you like in the store, there's often a good chance it is available online in a tall. This is true for Banana Republic, J. Crew, Ann Taylor Loft, Ann Taylor, GAP, JCPenney, Land's End (online) e-Vanity (online), and Eddie Bauer, to name a few. Pricier brands at Dept. Stores are often more generous in terms of length than more affordable brands, but not always.

Angie,
I am a little taller than average (5' 9.5") and my height is distributed fairly evenly up and down my body. This results in bust darts, waistlines and hiplines that hit me too high and an overall "skimpy" proportion. Do you have any suggestions for getting good fit in RTW, especially dresses, jackets and blouses?
Thanks,
