As Missvee so eloquently pointed out "USE LESS."

I mean, right, look.., for weeks and weeks we were without sprinkling sugar for decorating pastries and stuff. Well, turns out we had some, but it was in little brown boxes from a different company. We were looking for big white boxes. Cafe complained because they couldn’t tell what was an apple turnover because we were using regular sugar and it doesn’t show. Imagine some stranger now calling up and trying to ask about our sugar. Hahaha!

RL, I'm picturing trying to ask someone at corporate how the things are made or, and this is dark humor, imagining a website that explains harmful practices.

Aside: it occurs to me you can’t really call a company and ask where they get their stuff from. You really have to go to suppliers and ask who they sell to...

Suggest you check out Daria Andronescu’s YouTube channel. She’s a keen ethical shopper/blogger who has researched this topic extensively. I think she lives in Germany too. Also there’s a Danish site, Use Less.

The forum often tangles with various ethical issues in fashion. I think quite a few of us are interested in buying from companies with practices we can support. You have stated your very clear ethical guidelines in the forum. I'd like to ask you to do more, perhaps by reviewing products by companies like the ones on this list, that claim to operate ethically, maybe by giving more information on how you made your decisions, or a more concrete guide to ethical shopping. One problem that lists like these have is that companies can change their practices. Gathering information on all fronts is a daunting research task for someone looking to buy a sweater. Can you tell us quicker ways to do the research? There are phone apps for food products; I have no idea if similar exist for fashion, or how reliable such a thing might be.

https://shoppeblack.us/2016/01.....l-fashion/
