Thanks, Angie. Off they go!

Aleta, I can do hems and simple alterations but doubt I would try taking in the back end, so to speak. Unless they were ready to go in the trash anyway

Pil, they look awfully wide for the style they are supposed to be. I'm inclined to say pass them on.

This is always sad when a favourite piece doesn't fit you so well any more. I would say they seem too big for you now, it depends if the tailoring costs will be too much, or if you are one of the talented members of the forum who is able to have a go yourself! I have problems with pants and when you have them taken in around the seat and legs I have found it is not always successful.

These pants have been in my closet for at least 5 years - probably closer to 10 - and received a lot of holday wear. Then I lost weight and didn't wear them. Now I'm wondering about having them tailored - or not? Before PPL elightenment I hemmed them too short. The hem is let them down as much as possible in the photos, I pinned one leg to try a narrower silhouette but the seat will need to come in some too.

1-3 are with a heel. You can also see that I do have a waist! It is usually hidden.
4-6 with flats, which looks and feels dumpy to me. They're probably the wrong flats, but I don't want to buy a new pair.
7-8 The sweater is a navy linen Elie Tahari I ran across at TJ Maxx the other day. I thought the chiffon details were pretty and brought it home for consideration. I thought it might work for year round dressier (for me) wear.
9. Detail of the pants and sweater.

The pants fabric is flocked, they don't wrinkle and I have always really liked them. But, do you think they're worth bothering with? I haven't looked for new ones.

Thank you!!
