He-he, this is a revenge for that cropped sweatshirt which somehow happened in my cart when I was shopping for SWEATERS ;-0
The tee pattern is nice - but it is grey and it is TEE. I really cannot wear them and feel fab :-(
Order placed

I agree with that, Sveta. I think that's the best choice! Good luck with the order. And now, you temptress, you may have persuaded me to pop a few items in my own cart....

Including a boys' sweater!!!

I think this blue has less red in it than my Gap sweater but because it is heathered it may still work. I think I will go with the light blue - I think blues are easier for me to get working than pinks without trying on. Thanks!

And yes, Angie -- one printed grey sweatshirt is probably enough for my closet. :)

But Sveta, speaking of exploded floral prints, I know you don't wear tees, but check this out!

Either blue would look good with the plaid Mias, actually.

It is hard to say how either would or would not work with denim. Both work with black and cream/ white.

On the screen, the pink looks a bit too warm/ bright for you, I think. So I would go with one of the blues. They each have advantages. What do you think you'll want to wear them with? I am tempted to say the pale blue. How close is it to the blue of that GAP dress you have, I wonder, or your robin's egg blue jacket? I know it is not the same, but I am trying to imagine how it will look on you. The Zara jacket is a brighter, warmer blue (more spring like). The GAP dress is I think more mid-tone and also more intense, less pastel.

I am evesdropping on this convo....

I would guess that the merino pointelle would be lovely. Their merinos always have such a beautiful drape. The lambswool is a different matter.

Thanks Angie. For crewneck - did you mean light blue or indigo? I am afraid the pink maybe too bright for me - no?
Passing on the sparkly one :-)
The sweatshirt is interesting. The color looks different on the model than in the stock picture - light grey vs charcoal. Which is IRL? Although grey is not my best color unless it is dove grey with purple undertone...

Angie - thanks. I think I am ordering merino pointelle but a bit on the fence for the size : M or L? I think I would like it to be less oversized than on the model...am I crazy? I am leaning towards M, I asked JCrew about the measurements and looks like body measurement for M is a couple of inches bigger than my Tippi sweaters in XL. I think I may be able to get away with the shoulders because of the raglan sleeve and the under arm looks pretty roomy to me.
Unfortunately Giselle is out of my price range - I like it a lot. I also like the crew neck - but which color?

No Suz, mine is cashmere as well but I think it is a different style: even if it is called "tee" it looks like a sweater with welted cuffs and hem.
About the lambswool pointelle: I saw it on the mannequin in Seattle but was not attracted to it so I did not try it on or even touched it. Then I saw it in the JCrew catalog and was smitten - maybe it looks better in the pictures than IRL?

I meant the lambswool one, Sveta. It just felt...meh. To me, that is.

And yes, you are right, the sweater I have is more like a tee -- I think maybe you have a merino version of this, perhaps? Or I am totally wrong.

Anyway, the cashmere one has no welt, but it has rolled hems on bottom and sleeves. It semi-tucks really well but can also be worn out. Most of my sweaters are welted so this is a nice change, but I agree it would not work as well with a skirt.

Angie, I love your selection and hopefully some of them will be winners for you.
I was eyeing the cropped chunky t-neck as well but acrylic in the content scared me. Angie, do you know how high is it?
Unfortunately merino zip sweater is not available in my size except in grey which is not my color. As for the colorblock one - somehow I don't feel the colors: I would prefer one color but in a textured pattern or knit. Featherlight T-neck is lovely but it is too thin for what I am after: It is great for layering UNDER but I am looking for a sweater to layer OVER and this is not the one.
Pinstripe sweater is interesting but I want a lighter color.
Suz, cashmere tee does not have a welt or low-high or split hem, right? If so it is not the same as my tipped tee as that one has a welt. It looks like this tee looks more like ... a tee compared to a sweater, no?
Suz, when you said pointelle sweater - did you mean lambswool ro merino one from my finds?
SkiDiva - thanks for the review. You said that the t-neck fitted close to the body - would it be too bulky in size up?

But the cashmere tee is quite nice in that it can be worn as a tee (with a cami under it) and as an actual sweater (over a shirt or blouse). The fit is not oversized but fluid. I sized up on mine for a bit of extra fluidity and I am glad I did.

Thanks, Suz. I bet I will love mine in tomato red. Although T-necks are usually more appealing to me when I fit the different styles on side by side. Hmmmmmm. We'll see how it all unfolds.

I'm wearing the featherweight BF T-neck in navy right now with black jeans, taupe patterned belt (semi tucked), and light taupe booties. I love that T-neck. Very soft and fashionably roomy.

I forgot to add that I ordered the Merino wool Asymetrical Zip in the Bittersweet Chocolate. It is a lovely colour but the sleeves and the back of the sweater are a slightly lighter knit than the front, so that when I wear a white shirt under it, the white shows through the knit in the sleeves. I usually wear a size small in JCrew tops, and since the description says it is a relaxed fit, I ordered a small. I wish that I had sized up so that the fit was more relaxed. I still really like the sweater and wore it all day yesterday!

I can report on the Collection cashmere long sleeved tee. I picked up one on sale a while ago in the berry melange and I absolutely adore it. Sveta already has one of these, I believe. I find it a super versatile piece. Reviews were mixed but I have worn it hard already with no pilling and no itching.

I love the look of that turtleneck but have not seen it.

The pointelle sweater was a disappointment to me. I saw it in person and something about the texture made my hand jump away. It wasn't itchy but I just didn't like the thickness of the knit. It didn't feel nice to the touch to me.

Sveta your post is very timely - I was just looking at the same sweaters and wondering about the fit and the feel as well!
