&#060;p&#062;My mom has that Eddie Bauer blouse - it looks much better in person, and the ruffles are very understated.  I just saw her wearing it last night.&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Ann Taylor is very good about this policy, too - or at least they were last time I encountered the issue.  I bought a dress on sale, and the next week the dress went down even lower in price.  They refunded me the difference and gave me the adjusted sale price, no questions asked, without my ever having to bring in the original dress.  Totally fabulous service.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I usually don't point out my knowledge of the rules I'm trying to get them to break at first, and simply ask for a price adjustment or a return.  They might not even check how many days it's been.  And if they do notice it's been a couple days too long, my theory is that people feel more comfortable breaking a rule (and thus are more likely to break a rule) if other people don't acknowledge that a rule is being broken.&#060;/p&#062;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I would just try to return them and let them point out the day limit.  I've returned things before a little outside of the window and they haven't said a word.  If they enforce it then you can be politely surprised and ask for an exception.  It also makes a difference where you bought them, some places will match the price.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Wow--it's tough working with a ten day return window (says the self-proclaimed Queen of Returns).  In this case, I think going in and being really nice is the only way to go.  If they don't give you the money back, look really sad and dejected, and then ask if there is any way they could give you a store credit.  It's not ideal, but you could rebuy the shoes with the money and then you would have $51 left over for something else down the line (even if you only end up buying socks).  &#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;I hope it works out.  Unfortunately, once you're past the time frame, the only solution is to be nice and look a little pathetic (if that's a look you can pull off!).

I would just say something like &#034;I realize I am a few days past the return timeframe but I was hoping you could still accept this return.  Thank you for considering my request.&#034;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Many times they will give you a store credit instead of your money back in a situation like this; hopefully you will be OK if this is what they say.
