A black turtleneck is a must for me. They are 30% off now, and believe me they will sell out. They always do every year. I would say stock up. This year's blend is amazing, 45% silk. Here is the link for anyone interested:

Sveta, I actually like both colors on you. The fuchsia looks sweet and the darker color looks sultry in a very luxurious way. As for black, you can't go wrong and I think that would be beautiful on you, too.

Angie, you know that your fashion wish is my command, don't you? :-)
Bra is not showing with a smaller size but I do want to wear them on their own as well as layered under and I do like how the bigger size fits in the hips so...
... I talked to my mom and she said it may be possible to take in the excess fabric on the sides. I am taking this one to her tomorrow and we will see what she says.
And Angie, do you have any preference on the color?

I think that If the bra band is showing, the problem is not the turtleneck, is the bra.
I am ok with the size you posted before (L) but I think Angie's opinion is controlling. She has a good eye for what works for you.

Oh! This was an interesting exercise, and thanks Sveta for humouring me with trying the larger size.

Gaylene could have written my comment!

So it really depends on you, Sveta - and the role of these turtlenecks. I have a slight preference for the larger size because it's a better fit from the bust down for sure. That said, the more body con fit is not a train smash either.

How do they look from the back? Does the L cling and show the outline of your bra band? If not, then I'd say stay with the large as it looks great from the front. I like both colours, so no help there!

I think it depends on how closely you like your turtlenecks to fit when you take your jacket off. If I know I'll be wearing a sweater in a business, or teaching, situation, I usually go for a looser, slouchy fit so I can take off my jacket without feeling like too much is on display, especially with a turtleneck. I'm also with Angie on liking a looser fit these days instead of the body con fit that has been so prevalent these last few years. On the other hand, if you know that you would never wear the sweater for business, or would be unlikely to take off your jacket, you might be fine with a closer fit. I'd go with your preference since both look good.

Oh-oh, opinions are divided!
I just measured them against each other. The shoulder length is almost the same - XL is 1 cm longer in total, it is really negligeble. The sleeves on XL are 1" wider at the armholes but taper to the same width from the elbow down.
The biggest difference is the torso - XL is 1.5" wider across - which will be around 3" in diameter.
The length is the same - L is Tall and XL is regular.
Joy, jacket works for both - they are pretty thin so no bulk really.
Zap, they are the same. I did not have any doubts about size L until Angie spoke...:-)

I like the large alot better than the XL. I like both the fuschia and the purple. I love fuschia but in the picture I see the color before I see your face. It's opposite with the purple. I don't know if that matters to you, probably the fuschia is a bit bright for you. On the other hand, sometimes that is fun! (I'm thinking I'm no help) Anyway, I think both colors are fun for you, but I would go with the L if it were me.

If you hold them up against each other, can you actually see a size difference? From my laptop, I don't see a shoulder seam. Is there one? And is the fabrication such that it will shrink? Or stretch? Please help me along here, as they both look nearly the same size to me. If there is any possibility of shrinkage, I would get the XL because the L's slightly narrower sleeves would shrink in and then up and probably aggravate you to no end.

As to color, I am personally biased toward fuchsia, so I'm not sure that I can make an objective assessment. That being said, I like the fuchsia better on you because I think it gives you more life, but the navy isn't bad either.

So sorry about your hectic business schedule; it seems like its been unrelenting lately.

I like the size of the fushia one best too, although it's hard to see much difference. Have you tried a jacket over the fushia top to see if it will work? The length of both sizes is great. The XL just looks a bit smoother.

I like the fuchsia one, both in color and size . I think it looks softer, but is still fitted enough to show off your lovely shape. I think the fuchsia color also makes you glow in a really lovely way that the dark purple doesn't. And, when you find your cream leather jacket, that fuchsia color is going to be delicious with it!

In this thread about BR turtlenecks Angie wondered if I need to size up:
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....y-wardrobe
Well, as usual I take Angie's words to heart so I went to BR yesterday and got one turtleneck in a bigger size.
Dark purple is size L and fuchsia is size XL. Which size should I go for in them? I would prefer to be able to wear them as a layer under jackets but also on their own if required.
Also - which color you think looks better on me and / or would work better with my style?

I would really appreciate a quick feedback as I have whole pile of those t-necks waiting to be returned (maybe) and (maybe) order in bigger size. BR aslo has 30% sale this weekend AND I had to leave on my business trip on Sunday for 2 weeks - on week earlier than I thought. I really want return / reorder them tomorrow!

Thanks a lot!
