An XL is often too big on me, and I'm a size 14/16. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/ask-angie-et-al-a-couple-of-nordies-items#post-1479069 Thu, 23 Apr 2015 16:30:41 +0000 Elizabeth P 1479069@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>I tried on all of the Plione tops last week in Ottawa, just so that I'd know, when fabrics come in that I like.</p> <p>I am also broad shouldered (as Suz said) and am between a M and L in BR.&nbsp; </p> <p>In the wrap tops, I have a medium in the sleeveless, however I need a large in the sleeved, to fit my shoulders.&nbsp; As others have said, I think the shoulder/arm fit is a bit tight so it's noticeable in the sleeved version, but not the other. </p> <p>I have the split neck sleeveless in both large and medium.&nbsp; My large is a mixed media, and it was the first one I ordered... totally blind.&nbsp; I'd probably have been better with the medium,&nbsp; however it's so beautifully drapy it's fine as is.&nbsp; I now have two of the non-mixed media in medium.&nbsp; I do find them a bit tight across the arms, if I hold my arms forward, however the large was a bit baggy.&nbsp; Last winter I tried the sleeved mixed media one and it was AWFUL on me.&nbsp; Everyone here said it ran big so I got the M, however I think the large would have been better.&nbsp; But I still don't think it would have looked good on me, so I didn't try again.&nbsp; A couple of (smaller busted and very slightly smaller) friends also tried it, and didn't like it on them either.&nbsp; There was just something off... which obviously wasn't the case with Suz and others, who look great in them.&nbsp; If I remember correctly it was the shape of the "v" at the neck.&nbsp; I'm not good with high necklines.&nbsp; Possibly those that are, can wear them better.</p> <p>Hope that helps! </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/ask-angie-et-al-a-couple-of-nordies-items#post-1479056 Thu, 23 Apr 2015 16:04:45 +0000 Janet 1479056@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>I have the Pleione wrap top in a black and white print, and I went with a medium, even though I'm right between a S and M in it -- the body is a little big, but the shoulder/bust fit is better. In those brands like Trouve and Pleione, I find I need to try both sizes -- sometimes they vary just enough in shoulder fit that I can't predict which one will work.</p> <p>Ditto to trying the Rack for the skirt. I love Pleoine (was wearing the sleeveless version Tues night.). I have the mixed media ones and though they fit a wee bit big as Suz says, I do find the shoulders a bit narrow and the arms snug. I tried the short sleeved ones in store and they seemed to fit big, but the style didn't work for me. You've persuaded me to also try the trouvé sweater in grey. I also have a version of the one right next to it with the cap sleeves...the sizing can vary between styles so just for reference, the sleepless top I went with a M and the other style a L. The mixed media top fits large. XS is almost too big for me and pretty much swamps me -- I have to semi tuck. I still wear mine, but it's not my best look, which means it will probably be brilliant on you. I think the split neck and/or the wrap blouses should also work really really well.
