<p>The DVF piece is not a warm knit, so it's fab for a CA Winter. The silk tee you could wear year round. Both are good pieces, and excellent quality. </p>
<p>As far as the laundry question goes - all my machine washing is done on the "delicates cycle". But I do take stuff to the cleaners. All the time. They do such a good job of keeping my clothes pristine, and I am very picky about that. I want my designer items to last a long time, so I really look after them. I am the opposite of RATE, so a polished appearance is important to me - which in part is acheived through wearing pristine clothing. So both these pieces would go to the cleaners in my household. I hate to see expensive items ruined in the machine, or even hand-washed by myself. </p>
<p>Animal print is a classic (and happens to be very trendy too). I wear a lot of it actually. I vote you'll be fine with this amount of animal print. </p>
<p>As for blush against your skin tone, it's impossible to judge without a photo I'm afraid. Perhaps you could post a photo? </p>
<p>I hope I helped in some way, Saramir.

<p>I want Angie's blush jacket to go with it, but that was last year's sale, alas!&nbsp;

<p>Angie - your post today on the DVF Becky silky shirt took my breath away. I love it on you and it's exactly what I've been looking for, for oh, a few years. The stretch silk material, the abstract animal print, the "lace" detail, the neutral colors....oh, Becky, I love you.</p>
<p>But, I just spent some money at NAS (your picks - the DVF Tinkit sweater, which I am still mulling over because of price only, and the Munro Robyn booties in leopard), and we've had a lot of moving expenses, so I&nbsp;should probably exercise some restraint given the price. But, oh! I really love this top, and I might be crushed if it sold out in my size. &nbsp;</p>
<p>
<div><br /></div><div>Do you think it makes sense for me to keep the Tinkit sweater (which I also LOVE) and also get this one, given the following:</div><div><br /></div><div>- I prefer a minimalist closet&nbsp;</div><div>- Just relocated to CA from the East Coast, so summer/spring will be dominant seasons. But it does get chilly in the morning and evenings.</div><div>- New job - as a professor, I'll&nbsp;look a little more polished than in the past as a grad student/postdoc. I like skirts and knit&nbsp;tops with cardigans, which I'm hoping to upgrade to simple jackets to add polish (not suits though - too formal). I also love dresses so I love that with a black skirt this top reads like a dress.</div><div>- I have 2 small children with often-sticky fingers and prefer easy care items. I don't do dry cleaning, but&nbsp;I wash my DVF wrap dresses in the washing machine on gentle with special soap, so that is still "easy care" to me. Would you feel comfortable hand-washing or delicate washing this shirt?<br />- Seems like&nbsp;lot of leopard - Tinkit, booties, shirt - but that's all the animal print in my closet, which is otherwise mostly black, red, pink/fuschia, or turquoise.&nbsp;</div><div><br />I wonder also about the amount of the blush&nbsp;color against my skin - I'm olive-toned, sort of light for a darker-skinned person. My face tends toward redness/blushing.&nbsp;</p>
<p></div><div>So...with all of that...what do you think? Keep the sweater and forget about this top, keep the sweater and buy the top? OR - Is there a reasonable proxy for this top at a lower price point?<br /></div></p>
