Fun comfortable dresses are my go-to when the weather gets hot, in finds is one that is cotton and is a loose flowing design. Things that seem to work for me:<br /> Tops with some kind of vertical line or v-neck. Like a button up shirt left just a bit open. or a top with a split neck. Sometimes I’ll tie the ends of a button up shirt hem for fun. Of course the hard part is getting the open-ness at the neck without showing more chest than you want. I have to try on a LOT of tops. also at 5’3” I’m a petite on top and regular in bottoms so that’s helpful to get the top proportions right. </p> <p>I’m not a big fan of capris especially if you carry more weight up top it can be nice to show a little leg. I prefer either shorter shorts with a wider leg if it’s going to be a v hot day or Bermuda shorts (about 10-11” inseam)<br /> You can have fun with prints - gingham and camo and floral.
