Shannon perhaps you can find all the things you love about this blazer in a winter weight one in a different fabric.

The weight, texture, drape whatever...

Spring and Summer are linen months. However, if it's hot in Autumn - wear linen!

i'm with the 'common sensers'. i wear heavier linen year-round here in the SF Bay Area, tho on a chilly February day i may sneak in some wool tights under that linen skirt (worn with a silk slip) for warmth.

what i love about this forum: even when a person 'Asks Angie", everyone feels free to hop on in!! it's great to get a diversity of opinion, and know that everyone is respected, not just 'the experts'. at the same time, boy are we lucky to have Angie! steph

Personally, I think a lot of these 'rules' are more common sense, dictated by the weather and therefor your comfort in the fabrics. If wearing linen leaves you shivering, put on some wool! If it's still temperate, enjoy no matter the month! (could be living in FL for several winters over the last decade has shifted my thoughts on this )

Oh dear...if it's dependent on climate, I'm doomed - I'm in Canada and we usually have snow on the ground by November.

It may depend somewhat on the weather where you live. Are you in a warmer climate?

Living in Virginia, I'll wear darker colored linen through September but not beyond.

(LOL Di, we posted at the same time)

I think it depends on wear you live. In cold, conservative Central PA, I'd stop wearing it September. When I grew up in SoCal, I'd wear it all year.

I wear dark linen probably until end of November and don't bring it out again until the spring. I didn't really think about this consciously though ... it just happened. :p

Oh, good question Shannon. I wonder also about linen knits (like sweters and tanks) too.

I absolutely love wearing linen, despite its high wrinkle factor. I'm wondering if linen is purely a summer weather fabric? I recently bought a beautiful 3/4 length sleeved, lined, linen, camel colored blazer. The lining is quite substantial so there's a decent weight to the overall fabric. I'm wondering if this can be worn into fall/winter or should it just stay with the warm weather?
