This is just to show you that while there are general guidelines for ITs, how you interpret them in your closet is up to you.</p> <p>I'm an IT without much of a waist. I love bootcut jeans and most of the time I'm in jeans, those are what I pick. I feel like they balance out my shoulders. I usually choose tops that show what waist I have and struggle to wear tops that are looser, or "surrender" the waist.</p> <p>Una is the opposite. I feel ok bringing this up because she and I have talked about this before. Una, please correct me if I get any of this wrong! She is also an IT who feels like she doesn't have much of a waist. For casual wear, she tends to feel most comfortable in skinny or straight jean shapes with tops/tunics that surrender the waist. </p> <p>You might try some of both types of looks to see what appeals more to you.</p> <p>There are other ITs on here as well. It has helped me to figure out who is an IT and keep an "eye" on them. I would check out Angie's instructions for inverted triangles and read through the "mom on the go" posts. You don't have to be a mom to benefit from them. They are great formulas for casual dressing.
