Thanks everyone. Time to see if I can find a way to combine the figure 8 and apple recommendations.

I think the ladies are right on- I'd call it Adorable Apple with a defined waist.

I was thinking of the figure 8 as well, with apple tendencies. Or a mixture thereof. I really like the bodyshapes on Imogen's site. The general term hourglass never felt like 'me', but when broken down into body shape X it sure does!

hmm I don't think that you're a pear...you look like a "figure 8" to me

http://www.insideoutstyleblog......pes-8.html

your shoulders look a bit narrower than your high hip (pears generally have a low hip), and your waist looks noticeably smaller than your hips. I can see that you also tend to gain weight in your middle as opposed to your bottom half.

I would think that you should check out recommendations for adorable apple here and figure 8 in the above link.

Pear suggestions won't work for you, you should stay away from a-line skirts.

I haven't been able to figure out my body type, and I was hoping YLF could help.

Some very unflattering photos:
(edited to remove)

I was thinking apple? All I've been able to able to narrow down so far is that I'm not straight, and pear suggestions don't seem right because they swamp my legs and make me look even wider than I already am.
