Wow, thank you so much! I'd always thought I was probably an hourglass until I read The Body Shape Bible and they said a big bust is one of the main features of the hourglass. I guess I'm an average-busted hourglass I'm going to go read all the posts on the hourglass now.

Where do I shop? Nowhere at the moment--I just finished grad school and I'm broke after outfitting myself for interviews. I did a lot of thrifting as a student and still have success sometimes (I live in a large centre--Vancouver). I tend to shop at smaller local stores and boutiques, and also have good luck sometimes at the Bay and larger stores like that. I actually have been doing better with tops lately--I even found some great camis and tanks at Superstore (a Canadian warehouse store). I do love tunic tops! I think the problem might be a combo of my long torso and of having a hard time finding jeans that fit correctly. Many of my pants are probably a bit loose in the waist, and so they slip down a bit after wearing them for an hour or two (even if they seem to fit just right in the store). Often jeans that fit my waist are too tight in the thighs/bum.

Welcome, BLB. You are an hourglass for sure.

Oneirix makes a great point. Where do you shop? I have clients who are taller than you and we have no problem finding tops that are long enough.

Hey BLB! To me you look like an hourglass with a long torso. Your shoulders look a tad on the stronger side, but definitely not enough to consider you an inverted triangle. I'm jealous of your tiny waist! :)

Have you tried tunic tops? They can be really beautiful and striking since they have a more ethnic background, and they also tend to be longer in the torso. Let's see what Angie has to say...

Hi there! I've been loving the YLF blog and have been reading the forums for a little bit now. I'd love some help on determining my body type. I'd also love some advice on what types of clothes would suit me. I'm 5'8, 27 years old, with a small-ish bust (I wear a 36C bra right now... one day when I'm in the US I'll get fitted at Nordstrom's!) and I have broad shoulders. I work from home and like a mix of classic and artsy/eclectic clothing. I have a very hard time finding tops that are long enough not to ride up above my pants' waistband, and to find clothes that fit my shoulders and the rest of my torso, too. Things are often too small in the shoulders or too big in the waist/chest. Here's a photo:

http://jouissance.ca/images/type.jpg

What do you think?
