Thanks ladies and in particular Beth Ann...the timer on the camera... duh.. Why didn't I think of that. Better photos are now posted under the heading Second Attempt. Looking forward to learning how to dress the body I am in.
You look very shapely, and normal! I'm betting you have a nice defined waist under there and could use dressing tips for hourglasses and maybe the tummy tips for apples if that's an issue. Most of us are a mixture anyway.

Welcome! You look great! (Much better than you think). We all feel awkward when we first post. And the pictures can take a while to get sorted. But once you figure that out it gets a lot easier!

So nice to meet you, RO! Angie's advice is most helpful here, and I know it's a little nervewracking. Does you camera have a self-timer? Try placing on a surface about navel level, setting the timer and shooting from 6-10 feet away. This would let you take a hands-free selfie.

BTW --- We're all self-conscious, particularly at first, but I see a very well-proportioned frame. No worries!
Thanks I'll try again Have to find a willing photographer. The spouse is a no go. BTW these are my form fitting work out wear. Guess I will have to find some that I regard as too tight as they show more of the lumps and bumps.
Appreciate your help
Hi! So glad you posted! Welcome :)

It's a little hard to assess body type from these pics. Ideally you need to have your hands by your sides, while someone else takes the photos. Furthermore, wearing form fitting workout wear is best. That way the silhouette of your body has not been distorted. Hope that makes sense!
HI,
Finally worked up the nerve to post a few pictures. My measurements are 38, 33, 41. I would say rectangular body type except I have a roll of loose skin that is below my natural waist and ends below my navel. I frequently size up as to avoid the spare tire midriff syndrome. Perhaps a different approach might work better. I welcome all suggestions with gratitude.
